Retail Lighting Upgrade
Australian Retail Chain
Since their first opening in Sydney, in 1989, Tarocash has become a true Australian success story, with over 45 stores throughout Australia. Tarocash produces smart casual menswear designed to cover almost any sort of occasion.
The organisation’s goals were to save money on energy costs and reduce their environmental impact. Promoting a pleasant shopping experience as well as an efficient operating environment was also of great importance. These goals had to be achieved in a busy retail environment which meant that planning to ensure minimal disruption to customers and personnel was paramount.
The Green Guys Group replaced 45 lights, which resulted in a $4, 241 saving on electricity costs. This kind of an upgrade means that Tarocash can feel proud of having minimised their environmental impact by not using 23,566 kWh of energy each year and abating 16 tonnes of CO2. On a global scale, this single upgrade means 38 barrels of oil not consumed, 30 less cars on the roads and 429 acres of forest grown.
